Berks

Berks is one of the 67 counties in the state of Pennsylvania. It was created in 1752 from parts of Chester, Lancaster, and Philadelphia counties. As of the 2010 census, the population was 411,442, up from 373,638 in 2000. The county seat and largest city is Reading. The county has 866 square miles (2,243 km2) of area, of which 859 sq mi (2,225 km2) is land. It is bordered by Lancaster County on the southwest, Lebanon County on the west, Schuylkill County on the north, Lehigh County on the northeast, Montgomery County to the east and Chester County to the southeast.
