Jones County GA

Jones is one of the 159 counties in Georgia. It was created in 1807 out of a portion of Baldwin County. In 2010 the population was 28,669, up from 23,639 in 2000. The county seat and largest city is Gray.

The county covers 394 sq mi (1,020 km2), of which 392.40 sq mi (1,016 km2) is land. It is bordered by Jasper County to the north, Putnam County to the northeast, Baldwin County to the east, Twiggs and Wilkinson counties to the southeast, Bibb County to the south and Monroe County to the west.
