Kauai County

Kaua'i (named after a son of the legendary Polynesian navigator who discovered the islands) is one of the five counties in the state of Hawai'i. It is composed of the islands of Kaua'i, Ka'ula, Lehua and Ni'ihau, and is approximately 105 miles (169 km) northwest of Oahu. The county seat is Lihu'e, and the largest town is Kapa'a. The population at the 2010 census was 67,091.
