Lincoln is one of the 64 parishes in the state of Louisiana. It was created in 1873 from parts of Bienville, Claiborne, Jackson, and Union parishes. As of the 2010 census, the population was 46,735. The parish seat is Ruston. The parish has 472 square miles in area. The county is bordered by Union Parish to the north, Ouachita Parish to the east, Jackson Parish to the south, Bienville Parish to the southeast, and Claiborne Parish to the northwest.
